Will You Pledge to Pray?

Tomorrow, we will launch our special prayer campaign for the 173 long term prisoners of faith in Eritrea over 173 days.

We’re asking you to use the prayer points which will be posted regularly to pray for these Christian prisoners, including the 173 who who have been detained in appalling conditions, without trial, over 10 years.

To: His Excellency Estifanos Habtemariam Ghebreyesus, Ambassador for the State of Eritrea to the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Your Excellency, it is with great concern that we call on the government of Eritrea for the immediate and unconditional release of all Christian prisoners of faith, many of whom have now been detained in jail for ten years or more. These prisoners are law-abiding citizens who provide no threat to your government.

We ask you to act compassionately towards these prisoners, many of whom have suffered ill-health while in prison. We thank you in advance for your gracious intervention on behalf of them.

Yours respectfully,

Signed:
